Committee on Disaster Recovery, Infrastructure and Planning

The Committee on Disaster Recovery, Infrastructure, and Planning has scheduled a meeting for Monday, June 3, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in the Earle B. Ottley Legislative Hall, on St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.

BLOCK I

The Committee will receive an overall update on the Department of Planning & Natural Resources. Topics to be discussed will include, but not limited to: Potable Drinking Water Replacement lines funding, a status update on the Comprehensive Land & Water Use Plan, the relocation of the department to its permanent home in the SubBase/Crown Bay area, any projects the department have undertaken or plan to undertake, the status of those projects, and any impediments the department has encountered

BLOCK II

The Committee will receive an update from the VI Department of Education. Topics to be discussed may include, but not limited to the Department’s planned, ongoing, and completed projects, as well the status of all disaster related federal funding designated for the department. Additionally, the committee will receive an update as to any challenges pertaining to the department’s role in the territory’s disaster recovery efforts.
