St. Thomas—Due to the projected path of Tropical Storm Ernesto, the Legislature of the Virgin Islands will close at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. The storm is expected to start affecting the Virgin Islands early Tuesday afternoon and continue into Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
The Legislature will remain closed on Wednesday and will resume regular business on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at 8 a.m. We urge everyone to take the necessary precautions and stay safe during the storm.
