St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – Senate President Donna Frett-Gregory and the Members of the 34th Legislature of the Virgin Islands invite the public to the lying-in repose of the Honorable Dr. Athneil “Addie” Ottley on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Earle B. Ottley Legislative Hall, on St. Thomas.

Ottley served the people of the Virgin Islands as a Senator in the 9th, 10th, and 13th Legislatures, and as Lieutenant Governor with Governor Melvin H. Evans. Ottley was a true statesman and public servant. He hosted “The Addie Ottley Morning Show” on his radio station, WSTA 1340 AM for over 50 years, and “Face to Face” on WTJX – Channel 12 for over 35 years. His name, voice, and face were a staple during numerous cultural community activities. Dr. Ottley would best be described as a true cultural ambassador for the U.S. Virgin Islands and will be remembered for his outstanding contributions.

Members of the public are required to follow COVID-19 protocols including sanitizing, social distancing, and the wearing of face masks as we pay our respects to an outstanding Virgin Islander.
