
St. Croixâ€â€In honor of the late Senator Edgar M. Iles, Senate President Donna A. Frett-Gregory announced on Monday that the Virgin Islands Legislature’s flags will be flown at half-staff territorially until sunset Tuesday, October 5, 2021.
The body of the former senator will lay in repose today, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the St. Croix Legislative Building located at 3022 Golden Rock, Christiansted, St. Croix.
Members of the 34th Legislature along with the community may pay their last respects during the public viewing. The funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Frederiksted, St. Croix.
The public is asked to comply with the Covid-19 protocols established by the Legislature which include sanitizing upon entry, wearing a of face mask while on property and social distancing as we come together to pay our respects to an outstanding Virgin Islander.
