36th Legislature Swearing-in Schedule of Events

ST. THOMAS – The Senators-elect of the 36th Legislature of the Virgin Islands invite the community to participate in the swearing-in events scheduled across the
Territory next week.
• Sunday, January 12, 2025
An Ecumenical Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at the Cruz Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church in St. John, serving as a pre-swearing-in event. This will be followed by a meet-and-greet session at the Legislature Annex in Cruz Bay.
• Monday, January 13, 2025
The official swearing-in ceremony of the 36th Legislature will take place at 10:00 a.m. in Emancipation Garden, St. Thomas. Following the ceremony, Senators will convene at the Earle B. Ottley Legislative Hall in the Capitol Building for the first session to formally organize the leadership and committees of the Legislature.

A commemorative session will be held at 10:00 a.m. in the Frits E. Lawaetz Legislative Conference Room on St. Croix.
